Notes: The global total includes contributions provided by individual countries to the Global Fund since it's inception, as well as $1,203,230,618 provided by the European Commission. It also includes an aggregated $1,874,635 provided by other countries prior to 2005.

Definitions: The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria: An independent, public-private partnership, formally launched in 2001. Its primary objectives are to raise new resources to fight HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, and malaria by issuing grants to countries with the greatest need, in support of prevention, care, and treatment programs.
